Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Wisent for using the app and the service behind it. If you use the app through Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the copy of the app you downloaded; see Apple's standard EULA.

1. Your account

You need an account to use Wisent. You must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, and provide your name and accurate account information. Keep your credentials safe. Activity under your account is your responsibility. You may delete your account at any time in the app.

2. Points

3. Your content

Your events, notes, lists, locations, and chat are yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store, sync, back up, and process that content to run the service (including sending it to Google as described in the Privacy Policy). You keep all ownership. Deleting it in the app deletes it per the Privacy Policy.

4. The assistant and AI output

The assistant proposes schedules, drafts content, and answers questions. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review the assistant's output and any changes it makes to your planning content. A proposal is not a fact. Wisent does not provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

How AI processing works

This section summarizes how processing works. The Privacy Policy (sections 3 and 5) is the full description and controls.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no probing or breaking security, no scraping the service, no reselling access, no uploading malware or unlawful content, and no use that violates the terms of the providers we rely on (including the AI provider's terms). We may suspend or limit accounts that put the service or others at risk, with notice where practical.

Copyright and takedowns. If you believe content in the service infringes your copyright, email support@wisent.me with a description of the work, where it appears in the service, your contact details, and a good-faith statement. We will remove material we determine to be infringing and may end the accounts of repeat infringers.

Your responsibility. You are responsible for your use of the service and, to the extent the law allows, you will cover our losses, including reasonable legal costs, that come from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the service.

6. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party platforms (Apple, Google AI, email, notifications, hosting). Their availability and terms are theirs; outages or changes on their side may affect features. Device-calendar and file imports act only within the permissions you grant.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Wisent running well, but the service is provided as-is, without a promised uptime. We may add, change, or remove features. If we change something materially (including these terms), we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

8. Disclaimers

Except as stated here, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Wisent is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost time, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is USD 100. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits; then they apply to the maximum extent allowed there.

10. Termination

You can stop using Wisent and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms or to comply with the law, with notice where practical. On termination, your content is deleted per the Privacy Policy.

11. Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

We'd rather solve problems directly: email support@wisent.me and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally before filing anything. If it is not resolved, you and Wisent each agree to resolve the dispute through individual, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules โ€” not in court, not by jury, and not as part of a class or representative action. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could. Either side may instead file an individual claim in small-claims court where venue is proper, or ask a court for injunctive relief to protect its intellectual property or to stop misuse of the service. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing support@wisent.me with the email on your account. If a court finds this arbitration agreement unenforceable, the rest of this section stands, and the state and federal courts in Travis County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here removes consumer rights your local law gives you.

12. The whole agreement

These terms, the EULA, and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us for the service. If a court strikes a provision, the rest stands. We may assign this agreement as part of a merger or sale of the business.
